The First Supper is a modern re-envisioning of the last supper and Eucharist, replacing the traditionally mostly male characters with mostly female characters. By presenting God and Christ as female figures, and by bringing Alice, Madonna (Celebrity), and the Lover, quite literally ‘to the table’, we’re able to reconstruct this classic tale into one that is fit for exploring femininity, human dynamics, gender roles, creation, love, sex, death, fear and desire; all served up with a nice vintage bottle of Sangre de Crista.
